Tantra and Advaita

"Not arousing the eternal fire [Kundalini] with the prana at the base [muladhara chakra],
Being unable to convert a into ya [converting self into Siva-consciousness using the power of Aum Nama Shivaya]
Without asserting God as one, but multiplying into hundred [multiplicities of gods or of sensory and mental fixations],
They wander about vainly everyday."

(verse 4 of Danvantiri's 6 verses on Knowledge - 'Jnanam 6')

The word 'Advaita', like the word 'Tantra' is derived from the ancient Indian Sanskrit language.

A-dvaita = without-duality

An Advaitin can be described as one who recognises the non-duality and the Divine Presence behind the appearance of multiplicity and separation.

Ancient Tantric texts state that only an Advaitin is a suitable candidate for the Tantric path.

Developing the supreme understanding associated with Advaita or 'Jnana' (Knowledge/Wisdom) is an essential part of studying Tantra, if not an actual pre-requisite.

Peter is recognised as a skillful teacher of Advaita, and a facilitator of the supreme understanding - the 'non-dual Realization'.
